Chris Carey will discuss the mainspring and barrel, the train and motion works, the balance, the escapement, replacing a balance staff, balance end-shake, closing worn bushings, then in the third session of this series of Zoom meetings, Chris will work interactively with participants who want to try to dismantle and assemble one of these watches step-by-step at home. This will be a great collaborative series for those just starting out in watch collecting, repair, and maintenance.
